Leadership Coaching for Managers & Senior Leaders

Leadership can feel very different once you’re the person other people are looking to for answers.

Maybe you’ve stepped into a bigger role. You’re managing people and competing priorities. There’s a difficult conversation you know you need to have. Or perhaps, despite being good at what you do, you’re questioning whether you’re leading in the way you actually want to.

When you’re in the middle of it all, it can be difficult to find the space to step back and think clearly.

I work with managers, senior leaders and business owners who want to feel more confident in their leadership, make clearer decisions and handle the challenges that come with greater responsibility.

My leadership coaching gives you the space to think things through properly, with practical tools, thoughtful guidance, challenge and accountability to help you turn those thoughts into action.

Leadership coaching could help if you’re…

  • Stepping into a new or more senior role and wondering whether you’re ready for it

  • Managing people and finding that the people bit is often harder than the actual job

  • Going round in circles over a decision and needing some clarity

  • Putting off a difficult conversation or dealing with conflict in your team

  • Struggling with confidence or imposter syndrome, even though everyone else thinks you’re doing brilliantly

  • Wanting to communicate more confidently, especially when the stakes are high

  • Trying to lead your team through change or uncertainty

  • Wanting to understand yourself better and the impact you have on other people

  • Doing well on paper, but quietly wondering what you actually want from the next stage of your career

What does leadership coaching with me look like?

There’s no one “right” way to be a good leader, and I’m definitely not here to tell you exactly what you should do.

Instead, I’ll give you the space to step away from all the noise, work out what’s really going on and think properly about how you want to handle it.

I’ll listen, ask questions, reflect back what I’m noticing and challenge your thinking when it’s useful. But coaching with me isn’t just about talking. I have plenty of practical tools, frameworks and exercises we can use to help you look at things differently and work out what to do next.

One session might involve preparing for a difficult conversation. Another could be about someone at work who’s really pushing your buttons, a decision you keep putting off, your confidence, your leadership style or understanding your emotional intelligence and the impact you have on other people.

You won’t leave with my answers. You’ll leave clearer on yours, and with practical next steps to actually do something about them.

Why work with me as your leadership coach?

I’m Laura Ogilvie-Jones, an ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC), qualified Careers Adviser and EQ-i 2.0 Emotional Intelligence Assessor, with 1000+ hours of coaching experience.

Before becoming a coach, I had my own career twists and turns, working in education, careers and business development before moving into a Director role. So I know first-hand that being good at your job doesn’t automatically make the people, decisions and responsibility side of leadership easy.

Today, I coach managers, senior leaders and business owners privately and through their organisations. I also work with businesses on leadership development, emotional intelligence, conflict and those tricky conversations that so many of us would rather avoid!

My organisational clients have included Wealth Wizards and Baltimore Consulting, and I’ve worked with leaders individually as well as with executive teams.

I’ve now received 125 five-star Google reviews from my clients and, in 2026, I was named a finalist for Service Excellence Business of the Year at the Women’s Enterprise Scotland Awards.

What my leadership coaching clients say

“I found the coaching process with Laura incredibly valuable. It gave me the space to step back from the day-to-day and really think about what I want from the next stage of my career, not just in terms of role or title, but how I want work and leadership to feel.

One of the biggest things I took from working with Laura was the importance of setting that expectation early and being much clearer and more intentional about what I want, rather than simply allowing the next opportunity to happen to me.

Laura has a great way of asking the questions that make you stop and think, while still keeping the conversation practical and grounded. I came away with much more clarity around what matters to me, the kind of leader I want to be and what I want the next chapter of my career to look and feel like.

I’d definitely recommend Laura to anyone who has reached a point in their career where they want to take stock, get clearer on what they really want and be more intentional about what comes next.”

Leadership coaching for organisations

I also work with organisations that want to invest in their managers and senior leaders through 1:1 leadership coaching.

I’ve coached leaders whose organisations have funded their coaching directly, as well as delivering wider coaching programmes for businesses including Wealth Wizards and Baltimore Consulting.

My work with Wealth Wizards has included 1:1 coaching with leaders across the business, as well as working with their Executive team. I’ve supported leaders with everything from confidence, self-awareness and decision-making to communication, emotional intelligence, conflict and difficult conversations.

If you’re looking for coaching for one person or several people in your organisation, we can talk about what support would be most useful and tailor it accordingly.

How does leadership coaching work?

The first step is a free 45-minute Discovery Call. We’ll chat about what’s going on for you, what you’d like some support with and what you’d ideally like to change. I’ll explain how I work, you can ask me anything you’d like to know and we can see whether we’re a good fit.

If you decide to go ahead, you can choose from 6, 8 or 10 coaching sessions, usually every 2–3 weeks. All sessions are online, so I work with leaders across the UK and internationally.

There’s no rigid programme that every client has to follow. Your coaching is shaped around you, what you want to achieve and what’s actually happening in your work and life as we go along.

We’ll get clear on what you want to work towards, turn that into a practical plan and use our sessions to keep moving things forward, working through any challenges, decisions or wobbles that crop up along the way.

You can also add an EQ-i 2.0 Emotional Intelligence assessment and debrief if you’d like to understand your emotional intelligence in more depth and explore how it could help you develop as a leader.
